Hello! So, you are going to host a Diaper Party to benefit refugee families?
Our Carry the Future volunteers throughout Greece, Serbia, Jordan and France have reported an urgent need for diapers in the camps. Often babies are not changed as frequently as they should be, resulting in severe diaper rash and other complications.
By hosting a Diaper Party, you will help provide a consistent diaper supply for refugee families all over the world—both in the refugee camps we serve, and in your own community.
Here is how you can make a difference.
WHAT: Host a party and ask your guests to bring a pack of diapers for local refugee families and give a $10 donation to purchase diapers for refugees living in camps.
WHEN: Now! The sooner the better as this is an urgent and ongoing need.
WHERE: You choose the location for your party. You could do it in your home, at the library, at a community center, a church, synagogue, mosque, restaurant, etc.
WHO: Invite family, friends and neighbors.
HOW: Send out an invitation to your guests, asking them to bring one pack of diapers and to “buy” one pack of diapers online at the party with a $10 donation.
The diapers that your guests bring will be donated to a local refugee resettlement agency of your choosing. We will help you locate the right group.
At your party have a computer, ipad, tablet or phone available so that your guests can buy a pack of diapers on the Carry the Future website. Then volunteers like you will purchase and deliver the diapers to refugees families living in camps around the world.
Here are a few things you can do to prepare for your Diaper Party.
Prior to the party reach out to a local refugee resettlement agency or a local diaper bank to tell them you’ll have some diaper packs coming their way soon and that you would like them to go to local refugee families in need.
You can also ask the local resettlement agency or diaper bank if they would like to attend your Diaper Party and briefly speak about how diapers are in such high demand, how they resettle refugees, what life for a resettled refugee is like.
Next, complete our Diaper Party Registration so that we can better support you, as well as comply with donation requirements.Register Your Diaper Party
PRO TIP: You can also create a facebook event for your party or reach out to local print and broadcast media and invite them to your party or offer to send them images and info about your Diaper Party’s success.

As a volunteer for Carry the Future, I would love your help to get the word out about an upcoming/recently held local Diaper Party to benefit refugee families at home and around the world.
As part of Carry the Future’s drive for aid, volunteers host local Diaper Parties around the country and across the globe, inviting their local communities to bring a pack and send a pack to benefit refugee mothers and babies.
Here’s how it works:
-Local volunteers get together to hold a Diaper Party in their community
-Attendees bring a pack of diapers to benefit a local refugee resettlement program
-At the party, attendees can donate a pack online to benefit a family living in a refugee camp through Carry the Future’s website.

Carry the Future volunteers throughout Greece, Serbia, France and Jordan have seen an urgent need for diapers in camps, often purchasing supplies with their own funds — there is never enough to go around. Often babies are not changed as frequently as necessary, resulting in severe diaper rash and other complications. Our community wants to make sure this doesn’t continue.
I hope to hear from you soon,
Carry the Future is a 100% volunteer run 501(c)(3) nonprofit that aids refugee families by personally providing essential humanitarian aid, including baby carriers, to ease their journey while creating meaningful opportunities for global volunteers to be a collective force of action and hope.
Here are some ideas for Diaper Party success.
-Show a video message at the party from our former Chief Operations Officer now CTF Board Member, Laura Dietz, that details why CTF is involved with diaper drives, how you are making an impact and offer other ways to get involved.Watch Video on Importance of Diapers for Refugees
-Provide stationary and pens for writing letters of support at your party which you can include with your diaper packs for local distribution and/or for CTF distribution in camps overseas.
-Invite speakers from your Refugee Resettlement Agency (an advocate or actual refugee family from your community) or Diaper Bank.
-Take pictures of your party and share them on social media, using the hashtags #DiaperAllTheBabees #AllTheDiapers #AllTheBabies #CarrytheFuture.
-If you are hosting a public event, reach out to media before to invite them to your event and after your event to give an update on your success.

You are welcome to bring any brand of diapers you would like.
When you make contact with the refugee resettlement agency or diaper bank in your area, you may want to ask them. Typically, agencies and banks need all sizes of diapers, so the more diverse sizes, the better.
A pack of diapers can range from 20 to 50+ diapers. Please bring whatever works best for you.
The diapers you bring to the party will either go to a local refugee families that are just settling into your community.
We are asking that you only bring disposable diapers to the party.
Disposable diapers are necessary because of the lack of facilities to properly clean cloth diapers in the camps.
You can tape a note to the outside of the diaper pack for local distribution and you can mail letters for refugee families in camps to: Carry The Future c/o Cubesmart 6875 Lee Highway, Unit # 1034, Arlington, VA 22213.
At the event you can have a computer, ipad, tablet or phone available so that your guests can “buy” a pack of diapers on the Carry the Future website. These diapers will be purchased in country and delivered to refugees in the camps where our volunteers work. Diaper distribution is planned for: Greece, Serbia, France and Jordan.
There is a very high demand for diapers in the camps and there are never enough diapers available to meet the need of refugee families. This results in babies not being changed often enough and so there are rashes and other complications.
It is much more cost effective and efficient for us to purchase the diapers in bulk in the country and deliver them. It helps your dollar go much further and it benefits local economies, many of which have been struggling themselves.
We estimate a $10 USD cost.
We welcome you to write notes to give the local refugee families after the party, you can adhere these letters to they physical packs of diapers. Or, you can send letters to accompany the diapers Carry the Future will distribute on your behalf to families living in refugee camps. After the party, please collect the notes and mail them in one envelope to this address: Carry The Future c/o Cubesmart 6875 Lee Highway, Unit # 1034, Arlington, VA 22213.
Our current collection drive is focused on diapers. When needs are identified, we will announce new collection drives at that time.
